Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine's Section of General Internal Medicine seeks an outpatient Internal Medicine Physician at the San Felipe clinic. The successful candidate will provide high-quality adult outpatient care and participate in teaching and scholarly activity.

Ideal candidates are patient-centered with commitment to clinical excellence in an academic setting. Responsibilities include supervision of residents, collaboration with inpatient teams, and ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• MD or DO medical degree and Board Certification or eligibility.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board.

Responsibilities

• Clinical with direct patient care for 9 sessions a week.
• Provide adult outpatient medical care and supervise residents and students.
• Coordinate with inpatient teams for safe discharge.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Contribute to quality improvement or research projects.
• Maintain CME through ongoing education as required.
• Renew licenses and certifications as required.
• Use Epic EMR to document patient encounters.
• Complete documentation timely to support billing and operations.
