Adventist Health AIS Cancer Center in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Hematology/Oncology team in an outpatient setting. You will work with physicians and care teams to deliver patient-centered care to oncology and hematology patients in a mission-driven environment.

This full-time role offers a collaborative multidisciplinary team, a mix of independent patient management and physician collaboration, opportunities to build meaningful patient

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Nursing is required or higher.
• Current California NP license is required.
• Board certification as NP (FNP/AGNP/ACNP preferred).
• DEA certification and furnishing license required.
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hematology and oncology patients.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, infusion staff, and care coordinators for comprehensive care.
• Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hematology and oncology patients
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, infusion staff, and care coordinators to provide comprehensive care
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the EMR system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain evidence-based practice standard

• Competitive salary range: $180,000-210,000 annually

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current California Nurse Practitioner license
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or ACNP preferred)
• DEA certification and furnishing license required
• Previous Hematology/Oncology experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing chemotherapy side effects and oncology treatment plans
• Knowledge of hematologic disorders and oncology protocols
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
