Job summary

USPI Gastro Consultants of San Antonio - Stone Oak in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our outpatient gastroenterology team. The position features one OR room and three procedure rooms, with care scheduled on weekdays only—no holidays, weekends, or on-call requirements.

Some early mornings and later evenings may be needed based on surgical flow. The RN is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating care across preoperative, intraoperative, and

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in accordance with the state Nursing Practice Act and facility policies.
• Demonstrate nursing theory, techniques, and practice to care for patients.
• Monitor patient progress and changes in status to ensure comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians and healthcare professionals, providing thorough status reports during procedures.
• Communicate with staff, patients, and families with strong written and verbal skills.
• Pursue ongoing education to broaden knowledge of age groups and best practices.
• Collaborate with Infection Control to prevent infections.
• Support continuous quality and service improvement.
• May perform other tasks as assigned.
