Job summary

Palm Careers is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Gastroenterology team just outside Charlottesville, VA. The role covers pediatric to geriatric patients in GI outpatient and inpatient settings.

Shifts follow 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Thursday, with Friday 8:00am–noon; collaborative, supportive provider network and Epic EMR used across the practice. A dynamic, growing team awaits your patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia licensure and DEA registration are required.
• Gastroenterology experience is essential or candidate must have strong reason for GI.
• Ability to deliver high-quality, white-glove patient care and manage new histories.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, plan treatment, and manage common GI conditions.
• Round, admit and discharge patients in GI settings.
• Collaborate in a team-based care model with 2 GI physicians and 2 APPs.
• Rounding in the hospital once a week; manage a patient load of 14+ per day.
• Use EPIC EMR for charting and documentation.

We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology Team in just outside of Charlottesville, VA. This opportunity involves treating patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric, in a GI outpatient/inpatient setting.

Position Highlights:

• Shifts: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday and Friday is 8a-noon
• Duties include diagnosing, treatment planning and management of common GI conditions , rounding, admissions and discharges
• Team-Based Care: You'll work alongside 2 -3 Gastroenterologist and 2 APP’s
• Will be rounding in the hospital once a week
• Patient Load: Average of 14plus per day
• Weekday schedule with protected admin time.
• EMR is EPIC

Requirements

• Active Virginia and DEA Licenses
• Gastroenterology experience is essential or the newly hired must have a strong reason for Gastroenterology
• Ability to think on your feet, manage new patient histories, and give absolute white glove services to patients in your care
