Job summary

Duke Gastroenterology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Raleigh-based outpatient GI clinic. The APP will deliver adult GI care, work with attending physicians, and participate in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within a collaborative team.

Position supports outpatient clinic sessions, with opportunities for professional development through GI Grand Rounds and Duke CME programs. Collaboration with nurses and other staff is essential for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with MSN or an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Must hold current NP/PA license in NC and BLS certification.
• Experience in gastroenterology or GI clinics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient medical care to adult GI patients in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as appropriate.
• order labs, imaging, and referrals; document encounters in the EMR (Epic/Maestro).
• coordinate care with nursing and other clinicians; participate in GI Grand Rounds and educational events.
• participate in clinic scheduling and patient education, ensuring timely follow-up.
