Job summary

MercyOne Health System is seeking aRegistered Nurse for the MercyOne Genesis Endocrinology Clinic in Iowa. The role provides outpatient nursing care, collaborates with care teams, and supports education for patients and families.

The position is full-time, day shift with 36 hours per week (8:00a–5:00p Monday–Thursday, 8:00a–12:00p Friday). No weekends or holidays. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities within the MercyOne Health System.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa (or compact where applicable).
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in Windows, web-based navigation, email, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient patient care using nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff, patients, families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, tests and discharge planning.
• Maintain documentation accuracy in EMR (vital signs, assessments, treatments, charges, labs).
• Assist providers with patient care, scheduling, admissions, referrals and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement and risk management.
