Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking an Outpatient Registered Dietitian to provide evidence-based nutrition care across outpatient services. The role includes completing nutritional assessments, education, and collaboration with physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Starting salary is $62,000 with a $3,000 RD sign-on bonus; benefits cover CDR/licensure fees, CEUs, PTO, health/dental/vision, 401(k) and EAP.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed per state regulations
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field
• Knowledge of regulatory standards
• Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and interventions using evidence-based practices for outpatient care
• Provide education to patients, families, and facility staff on nutritional needs
• Document assessments and interventions in the medical record
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status
• Manage orders for therapeutic diets and supplements
• Attend patient rounds and support regulatory compliance
