Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse (CAP 1) to join the Outpatient team focused on coordination of care for dialysis patients. You will perform nursing assessments, plan and intervene in patient care, and collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and technicians to deliver safe hemodialysis therapy.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, you will teach patients and families, participate in quality improvement, and work under supervision to advance CAP

Qualifications

• RN with current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry level for nephrology nursing; CAP requirements to advance.
• Must have a minimum of 9 months RN experience and 3 months dialysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient data pre, during, and post‑hemodialysis; documents in medical record; adjusts care plan as needed.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Educates patient and family on care plan and learning needs; provides ongoing education.
• Directs safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Identifies outcomes and updates nursing assessment and plan of care with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Involves staff training and orientation; supports quality improvement and transplant/treatment modality discussions.
