Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Michigan seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP as CAP1, providing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for dialysis patients. This role collaborates with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians to ensure safe, effective dialysis and patient outcomes.

The position supports ongoing education, participates in quality improvement, and advances in the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. Prior hemodialysis exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state RN licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 9 months RN experience.
• Minimum 3 months chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive data collection and nursing assessments for dialysis patients.
• Plan and implement care, document in medical records, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and self-care.
• Coordinate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians to ensure safe, effective dialysis therapy.
• Administer medications as prescribed and respond to emergencies.
