Qualifications

• Unrestricted ability to practice as an LCSW Supervisee in Social Work in Virginia.
• Experience conducting psychosocial assessments and creating treatment plans.
• Experience outpatient therapy with evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
• Strong clinical documentation and familiarity with EHRs and billing practices.
• Commitment to ethical practice and inclusive care for diverse clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills to build rapport.
• Ability to manage a full-time outpatient caseload and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work in-person at least 1 day per week.
• Master's degree in Social Work.

Role Description: The Outpatient Counselor (Supervisee in Social Work) will provide direct, telehealth and in-person mental health services to clients at our Richmond, VA location and virtually. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing person-centered treatment plans, and providing individual, couples, and/or family therapy using appropriate therapeutic approaches. The role involves maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinating care with other providers when needed, and adhering to ethical and legal standards of practice. The counselor will participate in case consultations, engage in ongoing professional development, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive clinical culture. This is a 1099 contracted position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted ability to practice under and LCSW as a Supervisee in Social Work in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Experience providing outpatient therapy using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, solution-focused therapy).
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records and standard billing/insurance practices.
• Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and providing inclusive care to clients from diverse backgrounds and identities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build and maintain therapeutic rapport.
• Ability to manage a full-time outpatient caseload, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work in-person at least 1 day per week.
• Ability to accept feedback and a desire to grow as a clinician.
• Master's degree in Social Work
