Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land is seeking an Outpatient Coordinator to manage referrals and coordinate all outpatient services. You will serve as the lead support contact for the clinic, and will contribute to scheduling decisions and staff performance management.

The role offers opportunities for growth within a supportive leadership environment. Strong medical terminology skills are essential, and prior experience in a medical office or healthcare registrations is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; Business or Technical School training preferred.
• Strong medical terminology is required.
• Over 1 year experience in a medical office or healthcare registration is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain referral management and coordinate all outpatient services.
• Lead support person for hospital-based and/or freestanding outpatient clinic.
• Advise management on scheduling, hiring and performance management of clerical staff where applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Makes recommendations to management regarding scheduling, hiring and performance management of clerical staff, where applicable. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Education and Training: A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Business or Technical School training is preferred. Strong medical terminology is required.
• Experience: More than one (1) year experience in a medical office position or in a healthcare registration function.
