Mayo Clinic Arizona seeks a full-time psychiatrist passionate about patient care and teaching. The role focuses on outpatient evaluations and treatments, enhances clinical skills, and offers opportunities for academic engagement in a supportive environment.
The Mayo Clinic Arizona (MCA) Department of Psychiatry and Psychology seeks a full-time psychiatrist with a passion for patient care, commitment to excellence, and experience in consultation-liaison psychiatry. This outpatient position is primarily focused on the evaluation and treatment of patients with psychiatric disorders and comorbid complex medical conditions. The Department’s primary mission is to provide evidence-based and personalized mental health services for the medically ill populations. The successful applicant would join a vibrant collegial work environment with a dynamic clinical team of psychiatrists, clinical health psychologists and neuropsychologists. As an academic position, it would include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as well as opportunities for engagement in clinical research. The Mayo model of care involves multi-disciplinary teams offering evidence-based biologic and psychosocial treatments in a patient-focused, highly professional, and compassionate environment. Fellowship training and certification in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry is preferred, though not required. Our practice is exclusively outpatient, apart from a hospital consultation-liaison service, which has a rotational, cross-coverage and call schedule.
