Cullman Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a qualified Medical Coder to analyze medical records and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with coding guidelines.

The role also includes medical record abstraction and supporting the hospital revenue cycle while upholding patient safety and quality. Requirements include completion of a recognized health information technology program and credentials such as CCA, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA, plus a minimum of one year of

Formación

• Completion of medical coding from an approved health information technology program.
• Credentials such as CCA, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA.
• Minimum one year of experience in medical coding or related field.
• Strong analytical and written/spoken communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze medical records to assign diagnosis codes following coding guidelines.
• Analyze medical records to assign procedure codes following coding guidelines.
• Perform analysis of medical records to perform medical record abstraction.
• Assist in the hospital revenue cycle.
