Qualifications

• Formal education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Research codes and abstract medical information to ensure accurate, complete, billable outpatient codes.
• Identify coding opportunities and recommend improvements to the management team.
• Monitor trends and escalate discrepancies to management as needed.
• Maintain familiarity with CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS and related regulatory guidelines.
