Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and documents results in the medical record.
• Assists in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Prepares exam rooms and maintains supplies and clean environment.
• Triages patients and assists with scheduling and referrals based on urgency.
• Monitors and distributes medications as ordered and provides patient education.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited medical assisting program

One year of patient care experience preferred

Six months CMA/RMA experience (CMA II)
