The University of Texas is seeking a Primary Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient/clinical setting in Austin, Texas. The RN will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, MAs, and staff to deliver high-quality care and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient education, and documentation in the EHR.

Formación

• ADN from an accredited program.
• At least 1 year of outpatient or clinical experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts initial patient assessments and obtains medical histories.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans.
• Monitors patient progress and adjusts care plans as needed.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
• Ensures proper dosage and compliance with treatment regimens.
• Educates patients and families about medical conditions and treatment options.
• Provides guidance on self-care techniques and preventive health measures.
• Conducts follow-up education sessions as needed.
• Performs minor medical procedures such as wound care and suture removal.
• Assists physicians with diagnostic tests and minor surgeries.
• Prepares and maintains sterile environments for procedures.
• Documents patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
• Coordinates with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Manages patient appointments and follow-up care.

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
