Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Neurosurgery Clinic RN is sought for outpatient care in Des Moines, IA. You will deliver safe, effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, coordinating with other clinicians.

This role emphasizes documentation, patient education, and collaboration across teams. The position is full-time, daytime hours with no weekends or holidays, and requires Iowa RN license and BLS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Active RN License in Iowa; licensure from other states may be required based on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Able to read/write/understand English and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in outpatient settings and ensure safe, effective, evidence-based care.
• Coordinate care with other clinical staff and support patient/family education.
• Document education, assessments, treatments, and care plans in EMR; maintain accurate records.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge, and health maintenance.
