Job Summary

The Outpatient Clinic Coordinator (OCC) is responsible for performing all front office duties with the capability of managing all day-to-day front office operations in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager. The OCC works collaboratively with leadership to ensure the clinic operates smoothly, promoting efficiency and effectiveness. The role serves as a liaison between physicians, patients, facility staff, and insurance companies to manage referrals, verify information, create therapy estimates, explain financial liability, collect payments, negotiate payment arrangements, and register and schedule patients for rehabilitation services.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree required, or relevant healthcare experience considered in lieu of the degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Two (2) years of healthcare or customer service industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology.
• Proficiency with commonly used computer applications.
• Knowledge of third-party payers.
