Job summary

Tal Healthcare's client, a leading academic medical center affiliated with a major university in New York, is seeking a Board-certified or eligible Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary Department of Psychiatry in a vibrant urban setting.

You will provide direct clinical care, supervise residents, and participate in teaching, quality improvement, and community outreach, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and educational initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in psychiatry, followed by fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• Board certification or eligibility by ABPN in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
• New York State medical license, Medicaid number, and DEA registration.
• CPEP rotations expected; additional training in psychotherapy or crisis intervention is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for pediatric and adolescent patients.
• Provide outpatient psychiatric care including medication management and psychotherapy as appropriate.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor residents and trainees in educational programs.
• Participate in teaching activities, case conferences, and quality improvement projects.
