Job summary

Tal Healthcare in New York is seeking a full-time Addiction Psychiatrist to lead a multidisciplinary team in a major clinical and educational environment. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, medical education, and curricular innovation in addiction psychiatry.

You will provide direct outpatient care, supervise residents, contribute to residency training curricula, and participate in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and ongoing program development.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Psychiatry.
• Board certification in Addiction Psychiatry.
• Valid New York State medical license, Medicaid number, and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated interest in medical education and curriculum development.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in outpatient addiction treatment settings.
• Provide consultation services to patients in hospital emergency departments, outpatient clinic and inpatient units.
• Prescribe and manage medications for individuals with substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment planning.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and refinement of educational curricula for residency training.
• Provide mentorship and supervision to residents and medical students.
• Participate in institutional committees and quality improvement initiatives.
