Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associates or higher preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of coding experience in healthcare.
• At least 1 year of HCC Risk Adjustment experience preferred.
• Credentials in CCS, CRC, or CPC required.

Responsibilities

• Improve documentation and coding quality and accuracy.
• Review charts for clinical status, treatment plan, and history to identify documentation gaps.
• Conduct coding audits including HCC coding and validation.
• Educate physicians and staff on compliant documentation and accurate coding.
• Coordinate chart reviews with office staff and CDQI leadership.
• Monitor regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
