Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking an Outpatient Services Technician to provide complete patient registration and basic care tasks in the Outpatient Services center. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, ECGs, drug screening, and specimen collection to support efficient patient treatment.

The role requires accuracy with EHR data, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal skills. High school diploma or GED is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred; BLS is required or obtained during

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Basic life support (BLS) required or obtained during orientation.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify information in the EHR.
• Collect specimens and perform ECGs, drug screens, and screenings as ordered.
• Explain costs and collect out-of-pocket liabilities at point of service.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with billing questions.
