Job summary

Memorial Health System in Marietta, OH seeks an Outpatient Services Technician to provide patient registration and basic care in the Outpatient Services center, including phlebotomy, ECG, and specimen collection.

You will enter and verify patient data in the EHR, check insurance benefits, collect payments, and refer questions to financial counselors, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to MHS Standards of Excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Board-eligible phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Basic life support (BLS) required or will be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient registration and ensure accurate data in the EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, ECGs, drug/alcohol screening and specimen collection.
• Verify insurance benefits and collect out-of-pocket liabilities at point of service.
• Refer questions to financial counselors and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to MHS Standards of Excellence and safety policies.
