Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support nursing staff in delivering patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team.

You will help with rooming, document vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with routine procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Under RN supervision, you will communicate effectively with patients and families, maintain accurate records in EPIC, and uphold professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; postsecondary medical assisting program completion preferred.
• Preferred 12-18 months experience as Medical Assistant or related outpatient setting.
• Preferred medical assisting credential recognized by CT Department of Public Health.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care under RN direction and support interdisciplinary team.
• Room patients, document vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with routine procedures as needed.
• Sends/receives patient records and documents in EPIC; maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with administrative tasks and ensure safety and comfort of patients.
