Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate to support registered nurses in delivering patient-centered care. You will room patients, take vital signs, collect specimens, and prepare them for visits using standardized workflows to ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include administrative duties, documenting and coding in EPIC, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completed medical assisting program or related postsecondary training.
• Preferred 12–18 months experience as Medical/Allied Health Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and identify self to patient/family. Escort to exam room and prepare for visit.
• Sends/receives patient records and abstracts into EPIC as needed.
• Set up instruments and equipment per department protocol.
• Perform administrative tasks and support clerical functions per scope of practice.
