Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or APRN to join our outpatient cardiology team in Chicago, IL. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, and no nights, weekends, or holidays.

You will manage follow-up patients, review charts, deliver education, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Active RN and APRN licensure in Illinois, BLS/ACLS within 6 months, and DEA/Illinois CDS registrations are required.

Qualifications

• RN and APRN licensure active in Illinois.
• Master's Degree in Nursing and board certification preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications within 6 months of hire.
• DEA registration and Illinois CDS registration active before hire.
• Experience in outpatient cardiology or similar setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for cardiology patients.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies; prescribe therapies.
• Provide health education and promote disease prevention.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and compliant coding.
• Perform office procedures within granted privileges and competency.
