Job summary

Conviva Specialty Care, a Humana Inc. subsidiary, seeks an Outpatient General Cardiologist to join our Orlando clinic onsite.

You will report to the Director of Cardiology and work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a focus on comprehensive, guideline-driven cardiovascular care. You will evaluate and manage patients with CAD, heart failure, arrhythmias and hypertension, interpret ECGs and imaging, and collaborate with primary care and specialists to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
• Residency in Internal Medicine and cardiovascular disease fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular disease.
• Valid, unrestricted license in the state of practice (or willing to obtain) with at least 2 years of outpatient cardiology experience.
• Current unrestricted DEA license, or must obtain.
• Diagnosing and managing cardiovascular diseases and conditions.
• Work in a collaborative, team-based care environment.
• Working with Medicare and senior populations.
• Training or certification in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, or cardiovascular imaging.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with cardiovascular diseases and conditions.
• Manage chronic cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hypertension.
• Interpret cardiovascular diagnostic studies, including ECGs, echocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and stress testing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, advanced practice providers, and care teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
