Job summary

NTMC seeks an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join its new outpatient behavioral health clinic. The provider will educate staff on referrals, perform screenings and assessments, and deliver individual, couples, and family therapy in clinic and via telemedicine.

The role includes documenting in the EMR, staying current with licensure, and collaborating with primary care to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and Texas licensure (LPC or LCSW) are required.
• One year of short-term, evidence-based counseling experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral/mental health screenings, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy, including telemedicine.
• Maintain timely progress notes in the patient EMR.
• Offer crisis intervention and clinical consultation as needed.
• Coordinate referrals to additional services and resources.
• Educate staff on referral criteria for the clinic.
