Qualifications

• Must be able to work in high stress and assess potential for patient escalation.
• The RN must communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
• Exhibits critical thinking abilities and applies them to patient care.
• Demonstrates self-confidence and leadership in directing others.
• Knowledge of medications, calculations, and administering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for outpatient psychiatric patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Document findings, reassess patients, and communicate assessment data to the care team.
• Implement care interventions per the treatment plan in collaboration with physicians.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients on regimens.
• Transcribe orders accurately and follow up on patient care responsibilities.
• Coordinate transportation and ensure continuum of care within the program.
