Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital DeRidder is seeking a Director of Outpatient Services to lead and optimize the facility's outpatient programs in alignment with Joint Commission standards and Oceans policies.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling and at least 2 years in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric care with supervisory experience, including work with chronically mentally ill, adult and geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling preferred; LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, MSW, Psychologist, RN or LVN/LPN.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric treatment preferred with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working with chronically mentally ill, adult and geriatric patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction, supervision, monitoring and disciplinary action for all staff of the Outpatient Program.
• Coordinates with the DON and inpatient clinical director to identify staffing and nursing care issues to ensure daily outpatient operations.
• Ensures outpatient programming meets Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations and Oceans policy.
• Supervises utilization review and performance improvement in the outpatient setting.
• Provides education to staff and monitors compliance plans, age/disability/cultural sensitivity and diversity.
