Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is hiring an Athletic Trainer for our outpatient care team. You will develop and implement comprehensive care programs focused on prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation under physician direction.

The role includes clinical evaluation, wound management, device fitting, patient education, and EMR documentation, plus supporting ongoing staff training and collaborative care with physicians and therapists.

Qualifications

• Current State of Michigan Athletic Trainer License
• NATA BOC Certification preferred
• Valid American Heart Association CPR certification
• One year of related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical evaluation and assessment for injury or illness
• Assist clinic operations
• Review patient medical histories for evaluation and processes
• Provide wound management
• Apply crutch and brace fitting, casts, and splints
• Educate patients and families as directed by provider
• Enter medication, laboratory and radiology orders into EMR per guidelines
• Assist with ongoing training of orthopaedic staff
