Job summary
Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our outpatient care team in Michigan. You will develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health care programs for patients, clients and athletes under physician supervision.
Key duties include clinical evaluation of injuries, injury prevention, wound management, bracing or casting support, patient and family education, and accurate EMR entry. This role emphasizes collaborative care and ongoing staff training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field; Master’s preferred (per 2020 requirements).
- Current State of Michigan Athletic Trainer License; NATA BOC Certification preferred; CPR certification.
- Minimum of 1 year related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical evaluation and assessment of injuries or illnesses.
- Assist clinical staff with clinic operations.
- Review medical histories and apply in evaluation and processes.
- Provide wound management.
- Assist with crutch/brace fitting, casting, and splinting.
