Job Summary

The Outlet Production Team Member is responsible for supporting outlet production operations by moving merchandise from retail store locations through receiving, processing, and preparation for sales. This role ensures merchandise flows efficiently through staging, sorting, and sales floor rotation, including placement of product onto outlet tables and removal of processed items as needed. The position also supports salvage processing by sorting or baling materials into designated categories to minimize waste and maximize recovery value. All work is performed in accordance with organizational standards, safety procedures, and production goals in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.

Receiving & Merchandise Flow
  • Receive outlet clothing, wares, shoes, books, and other merchandise from retail store locations for processing and sales floor preparation.
  • Use a pallet jack to transport and stage merchandise from receiving areas to the production line and tipper station.
  • Operate a hydraulic tipper to safely unload merchandise onto production tables for sorting and sales floor replenishment.
Sales Floor Operations
  • Rotate sales tables every 10–15 minutes to maintain a continuous and efficient flow of merchandise to the outlet floor.
  • Restock sales tables by replacing older or sold merchandise with newly processed items from receiving and sorting areas.
Salvage Processing & Sorting
  • Sort outlet wares, textiles, hazmat, recyclables, and other materials into designated salvage commodity categories to reduce waste and maximize recovery value.
  • Receive plastics and aluminum, sorting and cleaning materials for transfer to balers; assist with linen and textile sorting as needed to support production flow.
Recordkeeping, Safety & General Support
  • Document and track empty gaylords as they are processed and removed; record table turns accurately to support production reporting and performance metrics.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production and sales floor environment; follow all safety procedures and use required safety equipment when handling merchandise and operating equipment.
  • Support team members in a fast-paced warehouse environment and assist with general production needs as assigned.
Supervisory Duties

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, lint, and noise. PPE is required at all times on the production floor.
