Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Lahaina is seeking an Outlet Cashier/Order Taker to process payments for food and beverages, greet guests, and assist the Host/Hostess with seating. Barista duties are performed from 6:00 a.m.

to 10:00 a.m., with flexibility for opening and closing duties and supporting servers as needed. You will work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, ensuring accurate transactions, polite service, and adherence to hotel standards while contributing to a pleasant dining experience for

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Able to stand during entire shift.
Must communicate effectively with guests and employees.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
Collect money and/or credit cards and make correct change.
Operate the approved credit card machine and prepare cashier report at end of shift.
Pay out servers’ tips, if applicable.
Assist servers and hosts with service as needed.
Maintain guest satisfaction and ensure quality control of menus.
