Job summary

ReconCraft is seeking an Outfitter to assemble and outfit newly manufactured vessels on the production line. You will install parts, equipment, and accessories following drawings and BOMs, using hand and power tools, and verifying function of assemblies.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Prior outfitting experience is preferred, with basic mechanical/electrical knowledge; ABYC certification is a bonus.

• Experience installing motors and marine electronics preferred.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge encouraged.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited):

• Assembling/testing of parts using drawings and bills of material
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods including crimping and soldering
• Using common hand and power tools
• Familiarity with mechanical assemblies
• Following documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and ensuring proper function of parts
• Measurements with calipers, tape measures, various gauges, and other devices
• Performing minor adjustments to tools and equipment
• Inspection of assemblies

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education:
  • High school graduate or GED
• Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • Valid driver’s license
• Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
  • Recent experience outfitting and assembling vessels or similar systems
  • Installing outboard and inboard motors
  • Installing waterjets, stern drives, and other similar propulsion systems
  • Installing marine electronics
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • ABYC certifications are a bonus
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
  • This position requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing, and visual acuity
  • Must also be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks

Position Pay Range

$24.55 - $39.98 USD
