Job summary

Latham, The Pool Company in Williams, CA is seeking an Outfitter to install plumbing, tiles, drains, lighting, and other components on fiberglass pools prior to shipment. This role uses hand and power tools to ensure precise, safe outfitting in line with production orders and quality standards.

You will read orders and diagrams, measure and cut components, perform cosmetic repairs, and conduct quality inspections while maintaining a clean, safe work area and adhering to PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience using various hand and power tools.
• Ability to read diagrams, work instructions, and production orders.
• Experience in tiling, plumbing, or pool manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production orders, diagrams, and outfitting guides.
• Install plumbing, drains, lights, fittings, tile, inlays, and optional components on pools and spas.
• Measure, cut, drill, trim, and grind pool flanges and surfaces as required.
• Perform patching, cosmetic repairs, and surface finishing.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and identify defects or order deviations.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment safely and correctly.
• Document work performed and complete required control plans.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and PPE requirements.
• Support training and provide guidance to other Outfitters as assigned.

A little about the position:

Job Summary

The Outfitter installs plumbing, tile, inlays, lighting, drains, and other special-order components on fiberglass swimming pools prior to shipment. This position uses a variety of hand and power tools to ensure pools are outfitted accurately, safely, and in accordance with production orders and quality standards.

Some of What You Will Do:

• Read and interpret production orders, diagrams, and outfitting guides
• Install plumbing, drains, lights, fittings, tile, inlays, and optional components on pools and spas
• Measure, cut, drill, trim, and grind pool flanges and surfaces as required
• Perform patching, cosmetic repairs, and surface finishing
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and identify defects or order deviations
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment safely and correctly
• Document work performed and complete required control plans

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

• Experience using various hand and power tools
• Ability to read diagrams, work instructions, and production orders
• Experience in tiling, plumbing, or pool manufacturing preferred
• Ability to understand written and verbal directions
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, and overhead work
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Flexibility to work overtime, including some weekends, as needed and fluctuations in start and ending times for shifts
• Commitment to working safely and wearing required PPE

Salary Range: $20.75 - $22.18

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
