ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join our vegetation management team. The role emphasizes outdoor field duties, data collection, and collaboration with customers and leadership.

Candidates should be prepared to hike rights-of-way, document vegetation work, and use GIS tools. A strong safety mindset, adaptability, and good communication are essential. Training and certification support are available, with a focus on growth within AMS.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, and invasive species management.
• Ability to hike/drive long hours and work outdoors independently.
• Familiarity with Utility Vegetation Management practices and ROW work.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office, plus an iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards, including safe driving, wildfire prevention, and injury prevention protocols.
• Promote AMS values in daily actions and encourage others to do the same.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Inspect and document vegetation work (pruning/removal) at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and complaints regarding vegetation work promptly.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Maintain positive public relations through professional conduct.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
