Gulf Coast Utility Contractors is hiring a Laborer for our utility crews in Milton, FL and surrounding counties. This permanent, full-time role involves constructing and repairing water mains, service lines, hydrants, meters and related appurtenances.

The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors, often with long hours. You will assist various crew tasks, operate tools, and follow supervisor directions on different project sites.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding outdoor labor.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew.
• Willingness to work overtime and long hours in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Taps water mains and installs/repairs service lines and meters.
• Performs digging, shoring, backfilling and concrete placement as needed.
• Operates hand and power tools, and small equipment for pipeline installation and repair.
• Assists paving crew and traffic control devices as required.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area and reports issues to supervisor.
