Job summary

City of Irving is hiring for a Solid Waste Services role. Duties include collecting refuse, brush, and debris and transporting to the City landfill or approved Material Recycling Center.

The job requires outdoor work in varying weather and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of relevant experience, and a Class A or B CDL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year relevant work experience.
• Six months recent experience driving CDL-class vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Collect refuse, brush and debris and transport to landfill or approved Recycling Center.
• Work outdoors under varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Normal schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., four days per week.
