Job summary

CompostNow in Raleigh, NC is hiring for a Warehouse Associate to support our composting operations. You will receive, sort, and clean containers with food scraps, and help prepare finished compost for delivery to customers.

The role requires outdoor work, strong communication, and teamwork during a 7 am to 3 pm Monday–Friday schedule. Benefits include health, dental, vision, accident insurance, disability coverage, Paid Time Off, holidays, a 401(k), parental leave, and paid holidays; weekly pay

Qualifications

• Requires physical activity: standing, outdoor work in all elements.
• Not squeamish around food scraps, bugs, and smell of decomposition.
• Takes direction well, detail oriented, team player, self-motivated, good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Receive, empty, and sort containers filled with food scraps.
• Clean containers (soap, wash, rinse) and prepare them for return to customers.
• Prepare finished compost (soil) for delivery to customers.
• Maintain a tidy work environment and clean work vehicles.
