Job summary

CompostNow is seeking a Delivery Driver (Sprinter/Cargo Van) in Atlanta to support our growing composting operations. The ideal candidate will operate safely on local routes, service up to a hundred twenty accounts per shift, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while recording bin weights and service notes.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2 pm. Benefits include health/dental/vision options, disability coverage, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver to ~120 local residential accounts per shift, including doorstep and walk-in locations.
• Collect 4-gallon bins, leave a clean, empty bin behind at each stop.
• Return to the compost facility to unload your van at end of route.
• Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, weigh bins, and record bin weights.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and take service notes as needed.
• Support new service initiatives and adapt to changes in operations.

Our compost collection services and network of facilities help thousands of homes, businesses, and municipalities in North Carolina, Georgia, and Ohio divert and compost over a million pounds of organic waste each month.

The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2 pm.

Delivery Drivers service ~120 (local) residential accounts per shift, containing a combination of doorstep household and walk-in office locations. Deliver compostable goods to office and restaurant customers on occasion.

Delivery Drivers collect 4-gallon bins containing food waste, and leave a clean, empty bin behind for each collected. Delivery Drivers leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.

At the end of your route, return to the CompostNow warehouse to unload your van.

Other Delivery Driver duties include pre- and post-trip safety/vehicle checks, weighing bins, recording bin weights, taking service notes, and maintaining a clean vehicle.

This role operates within a dynamic environment where we test and launch new services (examples include scaled composting programs and specialty recycling programs). In addition to core responsibilities, team members in this role are expected to approach operational updates with adaptability and a willingness to learn. These initiatives are a normal and important part of how we improve and expand our impact.
