Job summary

Road & Rail Services is hiring a Vehicle Handler to join our automotive operations team. This active, hands-on role involves unloading new automobiles from railcars and moving them to staging areas with strict safety procedures.

The position requires a valid driver's license, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in changing weather. No CDL is required, and training will be provided to learn our procedures across the facility.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license.
• The ability to safely operate passenger vehicles.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to report to work on time.
• A safety-first mindset.
• The ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
• Willingness to work outside in changing weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to approximately 16 feet.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive new vehicles safely off railcars using ramps.
• Transport vehicles to staging, inventory, or parking locations.
• Follow traffic patterns, speed limits, and safety requirements.
• Perform basic visual checks for damage or concerns.
• Enter and exit multiple vehicles during the shift.
• Maintain spacing when driving and parking.
• Climb railcar ladders and work around rail equipment.
• Report damage, hazards, or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Wear required PPE.
• Support additional vehicle-handling and general labor tasks.
