Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Transmission Work Planner to join our vegetation management team. The role involves outdoor field work, safely driving to sites, inspecting ROW vegetation, and recording data using tablets and forestry software while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The candidate should have forestry credentials (associates or bachelor’s) or relevant experience, GIS/Microsoft skills, and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and understanding of tree growth patterns.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or Natural Resources OR one year of UVM experience.
• Ability to hike/drive long hours on ROWs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledgeable about Utility Vegetation Management practices and GIS software/Microsoft Suite.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving, and attention to detail.
• Must adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions while following AMS safety standards.
• Safely drive to work sites, hike ROWs, inspect vegetation, and document data using tablets and forestry systems.
• Communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public to maintain positive relationships.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties and carry out additional duties as assigned.
