Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC seeks outdoorsy individuals for field locating work. You will locate underground utilities, mark sites, and document each locate with company-provided equipment. Training is provided and no prior locating experience is required, though experienced locators are welcome.

These daytime, full-time roles require flexibility for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts. A company vehicle, fuel card, and other benefits support daily field work.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Able to distinguish wiring color codes and locate marks.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Clear communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently (telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Thoroughly search designated areas, mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
