Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking field locators to identify and mark underground utilities across a variety of systems. You will work outdoors in all weather with a company-provided vehicle and fuel card, documenting each locate with photos and notes.

We offer extensive paid training, a safety-focused environment, and opportunities for advancement. This is a daytime, full-time role with potential overtime and on-call shifts based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently across multiple systems (telecom, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Thoroughly search designated areas, mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time with a 48-hour turnaround on many locates; overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts may be required.
