Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We train on the job with 100% paid training and provide a vehicle for daily use. Expect PTO, holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) with company match.

Responsibilities include learning safety-first procedures, reading maps, using locate equipment, and documenting tickets while communicating with homeowners and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years of age or older required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs or 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Read maps and interpret blueprints to locate utilities.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Document tickets and communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
