Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We will train you on the job and equip you with the basic skills to be successful in our 100% paid training.

What you’ll need: outdoors in all weather, ability to work independently, and problem solve with speed and accuracy. PTO and holidays, safety shoe vouchers, 401(k) with match, and a vehicle are included.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of equipment and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Think safety first in locating activities.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating methods.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
