USIC Locating Services, LLC is hiring field locators in Michigan. You’ll locate underground utilities including telecom, electric, gas, and water lines using company vehicles and advanced locating tech. The role is outdoor, full-time with overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities accurately and safely (telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Search designated areas, mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
