Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground using paint and flags. We provide on-the-job training and equip you with the basic skills to succeed in our 100% paid training program.

Ideal candidates enjoy outdoor work in all weather, can work independently, and solve problems quickly and accurately. A valid driver license and willingness to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2–3 times per week.
• Pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating method.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Document tickets and communicate with peers and homeowners.
• Work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
