Job summary

USIC seeks an outdoors-oriented Locator to identify and mark underground utilities across designated areas in a fast-paced field role. This is a daytime, full-time position with a company-provided vehicle and equipment.

You will receive 100% paid training on day one and have access to DailyPay, comprehensive insurance options, and a strong career-path program, including CPP and USIC All Stars. Overtime and on-call shifts are required as needed.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology and maps/prints.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Able to clearly communicate with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
• Operate in daytime, full-time schedules with occasional overtime/weekend demands.
• Adhere to company procedures for ticketing, marking, and reporting.
